BRIDGETOWN (Barbados), May 26: Pakistan dismissed the West Indies for 345 on the opening day of the first Test on Thursday. Brian Lara completed a majestic 29th Test hundred and paved the way for West Indies to stage a recovery. Lara was dismissed in the last half-hour before the tea break for 130 scored at better than a run-a-ball. The 37-year-old Lara reached his first Test hundred against the Pakistanis when he lofted the third of his four sixes off Danish Kaneria over long-off. —AFP
