PESHAWAR: Three persons were killed when rival groups traded fire over a petty dispute in Ghari Essa Khan village on the outskirts of the capital city, police said.
An official at the Chamkani police station told Dawn that the incident took place at around 12pm, when rival groups opened fire over an issue of firewood collection by children in the fields.
The official said that the firing left three people dead who were identified as Javed and Khan Mohammad from one side, while Saminullah was from the other side.
Police arrested an accused identified as Ibrahim.
