PESHAWAR: The Peshawar Electric Supply Company has announced that power supply will remain suspended from six to eight hours on May 11, 12 and 13 in parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa due to maintenance work on transmission lines.

According to a Pesco statement here on Wednesday, power supply will remain suspended from Nishat Turbela transmission line daily from Friday (May 11) to Sunday from 9am to 4pm, affecting the consumers of Gazi, Srikot, Wapda Colony, Sobra City, Qazipur line-1 and Jamra, Dobiyan, Gadoon and RB Bank Tarbela grids. The consumers of Yousafzai and Village1 and 2 will also suffer on May 12 from 9am to 3pm.

Other areas of KP which will be affected on May 12 include Mardan and Swabi from 9am to 3pm, Charsadda from 8am to 4pm and Shabqadar, Bannu, Karak, DI Khan, Mingora and Timergara from 8am to 2pm besides Kohat on May 10 (today) from 8am to 2pm.

In Peshawar, the power supply will remain suspended from Hayatabad Grid Station from Friday to Sunday daily from 8:30am to 2:30pm and as a result the consumers of Deans Heights, Hayatabad 6,7,8,11 and12, Shaukat Khanum, Hayatabad Surgical, Frontier Ceramics, Cell Wood Steel and Greenwood would suffer.

It was stated that power supply would also remain suspended from 8:30am to 2:30pm in Sirbilandpura, Latifabad, Charsadda Road, Nishat Dalazak, Faqirabad and Eidgah. The consumers of OPF, Wadapaga1 and 2, Pakha Ghulam, Gulozai, Gulbela 1 and 2 will face suspension from 8:30am to 2:30pm.

It was stated that the power supply would remain suspended from 8:30am to 2:30pm in Sethi Town, Baghbanan, Urmer, Surizai, Phando Road 1, and Gulbahar 1. Power supply will remain suspended from Peshawar Cantonment Grid Station from 8:30am to 2:30pm which will affect consumers of CAA, PAF Base, MES-2, Old MES, Mall Road, PAF, Palosi1 and 2, ICF-2, Scarp and Sadar Road.

The consumers of Deans, MES-1, Kohati Gate, Qissa Khwani, Kareempura, Chowk Yadgar, Dabgari, Shoba, Kakshal, LRH, PMC, Bashirabad, Shahibagh, Governor House and Kohati Gate will also face inconvenience for the same duration.

Pesco also announced that power supply would remain suspended from 8:30am to 2:30pm in areas, including Sonehri Masjid, old and new Deh Bahadur, old and new Kohat Road, Landi Arbab1 and 2, Nodeh Payan, Peshtakhara, Sheikh Mohammadi, Bara and Dora Road.

Similarly, power supply will remain suspended in Hayatabad4 and 5, University Campus, Gulabad, Canal Town, Malakander, Engineering, Agriculture, Regi, Circular Road, Academy Town, Achini1 and 2, Rahatabad1 and 2, Ghareebabad, old Bara Road, Abdara, Sufaid Dheri, Danishabad, Jamaluddin Afghani Road, new KTH, KTH and University Town.
