Chief Justice Saqib Nisar has taken notice of the complaint of citizens regarding the unreasonable deduction of a considerable amount on the pretext of withholding tax and other charges when customers load money to their mobiles, DawnNewsTV reported.

The chief justice issued a notice to the Attorney General of Pakistan to “explain on the next date of hearing as to how much and what amount is being deducted or taxed on a calling card/easy load of Rs100.”

Besides, Federal Board of Revenue and all cellular companies in Pakistan have also been issued notices to explain the same.

The matter has been fixed for hearing before a regular bench on May 8, 2018.
