2 killed in accidents

ISLAMABAD, May 23: Two persons were killed in separate traffic accidents in the city on Monday. In the first incident, a car of the President’s House (IDP-2) driven by Mohammad Syed hit an unidentified man while he was crossing the road on Islamabad Highway near the Faizabad bridge.

The man, said to be in his 60s, suffered multiple injuries and was taken to a hospital where he died.

In the second incident, a traffic police constable was killed when a speeding car (LOK-277) hit him while he was on duty at Kashmir Chowk. The deceased, identified as Mohammad Irshad and a resident of Abbottabad, was shifted to the Federal Government Services Hospital where he died.—Staff Reporter
