SHANGLA: Two children drowned in a rain-fed pond at Sabonay area of Martung here on Sunday.

Police said the children drowned while playing, adding the bodies were later fished out and taken to rural health centre, Makhozi, where doctors pronounced them dead.

The children were cousins and identified as Tofail, 3, and Junaid Ahmed, 4.

Meanwhile, a man shot dead his brother over a minor issue in Amnvi area of Alpuri on Sunday.

Police identified the victim as Iqbal Saeed, 20, and the killer, his younger brother, Iqbal Shah.

Meanwhile, a young girl committed suicide by consuming poisonous substance in Gaji Khwar area of Damorai on Sunday evening.

The police shifted the body to a nearby hospital for medical examination.
