CHARSADDA/SHANGLA: Awami National Party President Asfandyar Wali Khan has said the party will get an FIR registered against the Chief Justice of Pakistan if any of its workers, who are on terrorists’ hit-list, are harmed after the withdrawal of security from important personalities on the CJP’s directives.

Speaking at a workers convention at Qazi Khel locality in Charsadda on Sunday, he said the ANP had rendered matchless sacrifices in the war on terror and termed the withdrawal of security from important personalities as sheer injustice.

He said those parties which enjoyed power during the past five years had gathered on the platform of Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal to deceive the people once again in the name of Islam.

Wali Khan said that JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman had blocked

the merger of Fata with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The ANP leader also came down hard on PTI chairman Imran Khan and said that his action against the 20 lawmakers on charges of selling votes during the Senate elections bespoke of his ‘political immaturity’.

“Imran should also clear his position on his party’s senator Chaudhry Sarwar who had openly bought votes in the Punjab Assembly,” he asked.

He said those who leveled corruption allegations against ANP leaders were themselves involved in corruption and corrupt practices. He said none of the MPAs or MNAs of his party faced any corruption cases in the NAB, but the incumbent Chief Minister Pervez Khattak was facing three corruption cases.

Meanwhile, addressing a public meeting in Shahpur area of Shangla district on Sunday, ANP provincial president Ameer Haider Khan Hoti alleged that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak was involved in corruption.

He said PTI MPAs, including women, accused by Imran Khan of selling their vote in the Senate elections, were denying the charge on oath.

Mr Hoti alleged that when the PTI-led provincial government took over, the provincial kitty was full, but the ruling party had committed massive corruption during its tenure. He said those who were criticising Pakistan Peoples Party co-chairman Asif Zardari had supported his nominee during the Senate elections, which exposed the PTI’s double standards.

“Imran says his party MPAs sold vote in Senate election but hides the fact that his party leader Chaudhry Sarwar had bought votes to become senator,” he said.

“If women MPAs are taking oath on Quran, proving their innocence then Imran should also take oath on Quran that the KP chief minister is not involved in wrongdoings,” he added.

He said if ANP came to power it would establish a university for the Shangla people.
