TOBA TEK SINGH: The attorney general of Pakistan will submit his report to the Supreme Court after getting information from Public Sector Development Programme officials regarding suspension of work on the construction of incomplete Kamalia-Harappa bridge on the Ravi.

A Lahore High Court lawyer who belonged to Kamalia, Ansar Ali Hyaat, had appeared on Saturday before Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar and had submitted an application, apprising him that after 2013 construction was suspended on the bridge although more than 90 per cent of work had already been completed.

Earlier on Saturday last (April 14), the CJP had directed the Punjab chief secretary to submit report on the reasons for the suspension of work.

On Saturday (April 21), the chief secretary informed the CJP that the matter was related to the federal government. The court has referred the matter to the federal government.
