I APPEAL to the chief justice of the Sindh High Court to take notice of the growing complaints of consumers about water supply, and loadshedding.

In North Nazimabad, on the Orangi Hills, the kutchi abadi has grown to be bigger than many cities like Abbotabad. Water and electric connections were given to them from the resources meant for taxpayers of various streets of North Nazimabad blocks P, Q, R, S, etc. Consequently, because of illegal connections, not only is there maximum loadshedding but the shortage of water has grown. In many cases taxpayers get less water than those with illegal connections.

The authorities seem to be taking no measures. Many residents in these blocks have obtained extensions from the feeders, exempt from loadshedding, by spending heavy amounts. Without spending and bribing such shifting is not allowed, whereas loadshedding by discrimination is against the canons of justice. All law-abiding citizens must be given equal treatment.

The government and agencies must take notice and solve the problem of water shortage and loadshedding.
