KARACHI: National Accountability Bureau Karachi on Wednesday arrested Ramzan Solangi, personal secretary to the local government secretary, and Javed Qamar, an alleged frontman of a former district administrator, according to a spokesperson.

During the raid and search operation conducted at the home of Javed Qamar, Rs20 million and relevant documents were seized.

In another raid, Ramzan Solangi was arrested at his office of the local government and from his possession huge amounts of cash and valuables were seized.

He has been serving as the PS to secretaries of the local government department for over a decade and allegedly collected monthly bribes from the DMCs, UCs and various local government entities.
