LAHORE: The Provincial Management Service (PMS) officers continued their peaceful protest wearing black armbands on the sixth consecutive day on Monday against non-acceptance of their demands as Punjab government stays unresponsive.

Irritated over the cold shoulder given by the Punjab government, the PMS Officers Association executive body met here and expressed grave concern over the chief secretary’s indifferent attitude.

The association spokesman said the PMS officers were working wearing black armbands as a mark of protest but the PAS officers seemed least interested in resolving the issues amicably.

He said the association executive body had decided that the PMS officers serving at the Civil Secretariat as well as in Lahore division would gather in front of the chief secretary’s office on Friday (April 20) to register their silent protest.

He said the association was not calling its members from across the province to Lahore because it did not want disruption of official work.
