HAVANA, May 20: Cuba expelled a Czech senator and a German MP on Thursday, hours before they were due to attend a meeting sponsored by Cuban President Fidel Castro’s foes. Czech Sen Karel Schwarzenberg and German legislator Arnold Vaatz were among dozens of European legislators invited to the first general meeting of the Assembly to Promote Civil Society in Cuba, an organization of dissident groups.—Reuters
