NAUSHAHRO FEROZE: A woman and her two in-laws were shot dead in the name of honour in their house located in Jamal Marri village, some 30 kilometres from here, on Sunday.

According to the police and residents of the neighbourhood, three brothers Ghulam Ali, Ali Sher and Inayatullah —belonging to the Marri tribe — came to the house of their sister, 26-year-old Konj Marri, and shot her dead.

Her brother-in-law, Noor Ahmed, and mother-in-law, Ms Begum, tried to save her but the attackers also killed them.

Noor Ahmed’s relatives were quoted as saying that the killers believed their sister had been maintaining an extramarital affair with a man belonging to the same tribe who had managed to escape from the village three days ago.

Bhirya Road police claimed to have arrested Ghulam Ali Marri and started a hunt for the other suspects.
