National badminton

KARACHI, May 18: Star players of the country will compete in the 48th national badminton championship, which goes into action on May 20 at the National Sports Training and Coaching Centre. The event, which features competitions in men’s and women’s singles, doubles, mixed doubles, veterans’ singles and veterans’ doubles, carries Rs125,000 prize money for the winners and the runners-up.

PIA, Pakistan Railways, KPT, Wapda, PTCL, NBP, Military Accounts, Sindh, NWFP, Punjab, Balochistan, Fata, Islamabad, HEC, Islamabad and New Khan Sports will take part.—PPI
