LAHORE: Chief Secretary Zahid Saeed has said a detailed examination into the 56 public-sector private companies’ financial matters was conducted and a comprehensive report will be presented to the chief justice of Pakistan.

He said private companies’ internal audit was also being conducted and added no major financial irregularity had been found. The financial irregularities already found in companies’ financial affairs were being probed by the Anti-Corruption Establishment.

The CS said this after planting a tree at the Civil Secretariat on Thursday.

With regard to the demands of protesting lady health workers, he said health and finance secretaries had been consulted and a summary to resolve their concerns would be sent to the CM for approval. About the death of Gujranwala DC Suhail Ahmad Tipu, he said senior police officials, who probed the Zainab case, were investigating this case.
