PESHAWAR: The Peshawar Electric Supply Company has announced that electric supply will remain suspended for two to six hours in parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including Peshawar, on March 20 (today) and 22 (Thursday)due to maintenance on transmission lines.

There are complaints in some areas of Peshawar that power suspension is causing problems for gas consumers as power suspension also causes to gas outages.

SNGPL general manager Saqib Arbab told Dawn that the people used substandard gas power generators with very poor efficiency, which was badly hampering flow of gas otherwise there was no shortage of gas in the province.

He said the gas issues were related to the ongoing work on the Bus Rapid Transit project.
