KARACHI: Sindh Inspector General of Police A.D. Khowaja on Sunday inaugurated the ‘School of investigation’, established on the premises of Saeedabad police training centre, with the help of Germany to impart quality training to police investigators.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Khowaja said it was imperative to improve professional training of investigators with the help of modern technology.

He revealed that such investigation schools would also be established in other police training centres in Sindh.

The IGP said he hoped that ‘forensic lab/explosive lab’ would be inaugurated soon.

He said the Sindh government was taking ‘serious steps’ for the establishment of a forensic lab and DIG-training Sharjeel Kharal was made its project director.

Mr Khowaja also appreciated the deputy consul general of Germany and hoped that such assistance would continue.

The German diplomat and the DIG also spoke on the occasion.
