LAHORE: Governor Punjab Rafiq Rajwana on Friday inaugurated the 4th PakPlas Exhibition at the Expo Centre.

“The plastic industry has a lot of potential which is evident through the enthusiasm of participants in this exhibition, which is something highly appreciable,” the governor said at the event’s opening ceremony.

The three-day exhibition features numerous awareness sessions to highlight the technological progress, capabilities, export potential and evolving trends in this sector.

“The plastic industry contributes 25 per cent to the total exports, but the government continues to focus on industries like textile and leather. It is time the focus is shifted to non-traditional industries,” Chairman Pakistan Plastic Manufacturers Association (PPMA) Zakria Usman said while talking to Dawn at the exhibition.
