UPLIFT PROJECT: The government has increased funds from Rs800 million to Rs1.20 billion for the uplift and beautification project of Kohat to overcome funds shortage and include some new schemes.

Additional deputy commissioner, Kohat, Sahibazada Najeeb Afridi told a press conference here on Tuesday that they had asked the relevant departments and contractors to ensure timely

completion of the project to avoid lapsing of the funds.

Taking notice of the reports on social media about use of substandard material in uplift schemes, he said that the matter would be raised with PTA to ban unregistered sites which were spreading false stories.
