Poppy in Bara tehsil destroyed

LANDI KOTAL, May 15: The Khyber Agency political administration destroyed standing poppy crops on 55 kanals of land in the remote localities of Bara tehsil. Bara Assistant Political Agent supervised the campaign of destroying poppy crops in Nakai-Malikdin Khel, Qamakhel, Sipah and Qambarkhel areas with the assistance of khasadar force and local volunteers.

The officials concerned rounded up dozens of Malikdin Khel, Qambarkhel, Sipah and Qamakhel tribesmen who had refused to comply with government orders.

However, no resistance was offered by the affected tribesmen.
