RAWALPINDI: Chief of the Army Staff Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa on Thursday highlighted the important role and contributions of Pakistani women towards national progress.

“We are proud of the role and contributions of our women in uniform and especially the ones who belong to martyrs’ families. Pakistani women have a role and responsibility towards progress of the country,” the COAS said, according to a tweet by Inter-Services Public Relations chief Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor.

Meanwhile, the ISPR released a song to pay tribute to the daughters of Pakistan commemorating the Women’s Day. The song depicts strong commitment, active role and participation of women in every sphere of life.
