Soldier dies in accident

KOHAT, May 14: Two people, including an army soldier, were killed and three others seriously injured in road accidents on Friday evening. The driver of an incoming Karachi coach (C-8435) lost control while overtaking another vehicle and collided head-on with an army truck near the Jarma police checkpoint here. As a result, lance naik Mohammad Ali died on the spot while sepoys Muzahir, Shamsul Haq and Jabbir sustained serious injuries.

The injured have been admitted to the combined military hospital Kohat. The Saddar police have impounded the bus and arrested the driver. In another accident, a pedestrian was crushed to death by a speeding car in Togh Balaon, Rawalpindi road. The victim, Mohammad Ishaq, was crossing the road when the unidentified car hit him.
