Drugs, arms seized; six held

QUETTA, May 13: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) on Friday recovered drugs and illegal arms and ammunition from Pasni and arrested six persons. According to official sources the ANF troops raided a Toyota car parked near a house in the coastal town on a tip-off.

During the search, 70kg of fine-quality heroin, weapons and ammunition, including high explosive shell, RPG-7 with rounds, five AK-47 rifles and 700 rounds were recovered.

On suspicion, the ANF team also raided the adjacent house and recovered six AK-47 rifles, two 7-MM rifles, one 8-MM rifle, one AR-15 rifle, two 30-bore rifles and several hundred rounds.

The raiding party took into custody the owner of the house, Syed Mayar Noori, his brother Syed Waqar Noori and their four guards.

They were taken to Turbat and handed over to police for investigation.
