HARIPUR: Two minor boys were killed when they fell into a gutter in Jhamra village of Ghazi tehsil, police and family sources said here on Wednesday.

Ghazi police said Lal Khan removed the lid of a choked gutter to clean it on Tuesday evening, but his maternal grandsons, Hamza, 5, and Saiyem, 7, fell into it, while he was busy somewhere else.

After some time when their mother found the two brothers missing from the house, she searched for them but failed and informed her father, who then found Hamza’s body inside the gutter, while Saiyem was still alive.

The locals shifted the body and the injured to tehsil headquarters hospital, Ghazi, where Saiyem was also pronounced dead.
