Quetta City, Harnai and Jaffarabad win matches

QUETTA: Quetta City, Harnai and Jaffarabad won their respective matches against Chagai, Kohlu and Jhal Magsi while intensely fought drawn games were seen in Quetta, Zhob, Makran and Sibi division on the fourth day of the qualifying round of the PPL Balochistan Football Cup here on Wednesday.

Multiple attempts on opponent’s goal posts were made in the matches between Chaman and Nushki, Duki and Zhob, Pasni and Turbat, Dera Bugti and Ziarat, whereby the last match saw excellent goal-keeping displays. All the matches concluded in draw.

The matches saw cheerful crowd that supported the teams playing on their home ground. Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) is hosting the third edition of the football tournament in line with its commitment to the people of Balochistan.

The qualifying round will conclude on Feb 26. The final round begins on March 1 while the the semi-finals and final will be played on March 28 and 30 at Sadiq Shaheed Football Stadium (Malibagh), Quetta.
