Karim finishes disappointing 72nd

PYEONGCHANG: Pakistan’s 22 years old Olympian Skier Mohammad Karim could secure 72nd position in the giant slalom category of Alpine Skiing in the ongoing Winter Olympics.
He along with Syed Hamaan, who took part in the cross-country skiing event, are currently representing Pakistan in the Pyeongchang Games.
Karim started rather slowly in the first run and completed it in 1.27.53 seconds. In the second run he marginally improved the pace to finish in 1.26.40 seconds which earned him a disappointing 72nd position.

I don't think we should use the word "disappointing". There is no infrastructure in the country to support the sport and athletes are doing all they can do in the available means. Let us encourage them. Participation itself in such an event deserves some kind of appreciation.

Disappointment is because our country doesnot take sports seriously escept Cricket. Muhamamd karim I hope you do better the next time donot give up

Poorly written journalism.
Put the story into perspective. Karim finished 72 out of 110 skiers.
Quite a few did not finish including a number of Europeans and an American skier. People who had more resources and opportunities for training.
So well done Karim - proud of you and love you.

He did good. Pakistan was represented and he managed to finish the race. Was anybody expected him to bring a medal back home? With no training facilities, no reputable coaches he did good. We should be proud of him representing Pakistan.
