SARGODHA, May 12: The Caravan-i-Jamhoriat was accorded a warm and enthusiastic welcome on arrival at Block No.12 here on Thursday afternoon. The caravan was led by MMA leaders Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Liaquat Baloch, Senator Prof.Sajid Mir, and Maulana Abdul Jalil Naqvi.

Speaking to the people, the MMA leaders said this move was against anti-Islamic forces and those working against democracy.

They said those who termed the MMA a ‘B team of the government’ were themselves supporting Pervez Musharraf and striving for power.

They said the MMA had launched the caravan to motivate the people for the revival of democracy, supremacy of the Constitution, protection of basic rights and checking price hike.

The leaders inaugurated the MMA office at Block No.12 and proceeded towards Faisalabad.
