Token strike

NAWABSHAH, May 12: Members of the Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited unions’ action committee and the telegraph division observed a pen down strike for two hours against privatisation of the PTCL here on Thursday.

PTCL employees observed the strike from 10am to noon and wore black armbands.

Union leaders Bashir Daudpota, Syed Noori Shah, Abdul Qadir Qureshi and others said that the strike would continue till acceptance of their demands.

Employees in other telephone exchanges, including Sakrand, Moro, Jam Saheb, 60-Miles, Daur and Bandhi also protested.
