LAHORE: Three goals each by Hamza Mawaz Khan and Juan Cruz Losada helped Rizvi’s/Master Paints set their main final clash against Army Whites after outclassing Barry’s 6-3½ in a crucial Spring Polo Cup match at the Lahore Polo Club here on Saturday.

From the losing side, which had one and half goal handicap advantage, Tito Ruiz Gunazo and Nafees Barry scored one each.

The winners came out with a slim 2-1 ½ lead in the first chukker as Hamza and Losada scored one each, while for the losers Gunazo slammed in the goal.

But the second chukker saw full domination of the winners, who scored three goals to earn a big lead of 5-1 1/2. Hamza had two goals while Losada added one.

Nafees added a field goal in the third chukker to reduce the lead to 5- 2 ½. But a goal from Losada in the fourth chukker sealed the fate of the match.

In the second match, Newage/Guard Group overpowered Master Paints Blacks 8½-5. Salvador Ulloa emerged as star of the day for Newage/Guard Group firing four goals while Taimur Ali Malik made a hat-trick and Arslan contributed one.

From the losing side, Mizzini made a hat-trick and Saqib Khan Khakwani scored a brace.
