Nanakpura in final

PESHAWAR: Government High School, Nanakpura moved into the final of the PCB National Inter-school cricket championship at Arbab Niaz Stadium on Wednesday.

Earlier, Government High School No.2, Peshawar City skipper Imtiaz Khan won the toss and elected to bat first and were bowled out for 137 in 39.3 overs of the allotted 45 overs.

Pervez Khan was the only prominent scorer with 41 runs off 23 balls. Abdullah (22) and Iqbal (21) were the other top run contributors.

Akhtar claimed three wickets, Asif Khan three for 34 in nine overs and Shehzad Khan, Imran and Naseer grabbed one each.

In reply, Nanakpura reached the target for seven wickets in 29.3 overs.

Shehzad Khan hammered 49 off 51 balls with five boundaries, Muhammad Javed made 42 off 57 with three boundaries and Yasir Yasin scored 20 that included two boundaries.
