KARACHI: The Nixor College, Bahria College Nore I and Indus Academy won their matches in the Brig (retd) Rashid Ali Malik memorial inter-school (A-Levels) boys and girls basketball championships at the Arambagh court on Friday.

The Nixor College sent Beaconhouse Johar packing 62-6 in the one-sided boys match.

The trio of Hamza 13, Danish 10 and Raaif nine excelled for the winners.

In another match of the boys category, Bahria College Nore I chalked up a 48-22 victory over The Lyceum College.

Umer Farooq (18) and Shahryar Nasir (17) shone for the winners while Taha and Taha Zahid scored six points apiece for the losers.

Indus Academy carved out a 17-8 victory over The City School Darakshan Campus in the only girls’ fixture of the day.

Shezil Iftikhar and Sarah scored eight and five respectively for the winners while Amna scored four for the losers.
