MULTAN: Three more patients of H1N1 seasonal influenza died here on Tuesday at Nishtar Hospital, raising the death toll in the city to 33.

The deceased were identified as Zahra, 44, of Muzaffargarh; Ahsan, 30, of Rajanpur; and Shafi, 55, of Multan. Two of the deceased were admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) of the hospital and one at the isolated ward.

As per official record, 10 patients were still under treatment at Nishtar Hospital out of which six were admitted to the isolation ward and four at the ICU.

Result of blood samples of five others was awaited.
