Indian media

THE Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority had imposed a complete ban on Indian content on satellite TV channels and radio in October 2016.

It is sad that this ban is being flouted. Some people instal devices for viewing Indian channels.

Some cable TV operators, particularly in the country’s rural areas, flout the ban and air Indian dramas and movies.

Pemra should stringently impose the ban or do away with it altogether if it does not want to implement its own directive.
