Asghar Khan

Published January 18, 2018

The news of passing away of the first Commander-in-Chief of Pakistan Air Force, Air Marshal (retd) Asghar Khan was shocking for me.

He was a good human being and a true lover of Pakistan, most helpful for officers and subordinates on the basis of truth and rightness.

I would like to extend my heartiest condolence to the bereaved family and the nation.

SOLDIER turned politician Aghar Khan’s most significant contribution to Pakistan’s chequered politics has been his famous Mehrangate scandal case in Supreme Court.

The judgment in the case was delivered long ago but its implementation has remained a daydream for the people of Pakistan.

We are waiting for the culprits found guilty in the case to be punished. That appears to be a far cry.

I, a senior citizen sincerely pray that the Supreme Court implements judgment.
