GUJAR KHAN: Robbers looted cash, ornaments and other valuables in Kuleea village in the vicinity of the Missa Kaswal police checkpost on Saturday night.

According to the affected families, 12 robbers armed with Kalashnikov rifles, pistols and iron bars entered the houses by scaling the walls and forced the inmates to open the doors of the living rooms. Guests from the UK staying in the houses of Mirza Irshad, Mirza Ishfaq and Mirza Abrar were also deprived of gold ornaments and cash.

The affected families said they tried to contact the police in Sohawa and Gujar Khan but without any success.

It may be noted that the same gang also looted half a dozen houses in Jand Najjar, Dhoke Chohan and Negail areas of Gujar Khan recently.
