PTTF polls

Published May 5, 2005

LAHORE: The much-awaited elections of Pakistan Table Tennis Federation (PTTF) will be held on June 10 under supervision of Pakistan Olympic Association (POA). The POA has appointed a three-member committee comprising Khwaja Farooq Saeed, Col Yahya and Abdul Khaliq Khan to conduct the polls. The PTTF headed by S H Shah had conducted elections last year but they only resulted in the federation splitting into Sibtain and S H Shah groups. This called for POA’s intervention, which then formed a joint body having representation of both groups to run the federation on ad hoc basis until fresh elections were to be held. The POA had also conducted elections of Pakistan Swimming Federation (PSF) early this year after it developed rifts over poll results.
