KARAK: Adviser to the chief minister on prisons Malik Qasim Khan Khattak has claimed that the mega project of oil refinery will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Pervez Khattak during his visit to Karak district next month.

He was addressing the concluding session of a tent-pegging competition held in Gangu Ghara area of his constituency here on Monday. He said that promotion of traditional games was part of PTI’s manifesto.

He added that with the promotion of traditional games an opportunity of recreation would be provided to the people of remote areas.

He said that playgrounds would be constructed in every union council of the district to engage the youngsters in positive and healthy activities.

The PM’s adviser said oil refinery, Latamber dam and Karak-Darratang road were the mega projects launched by the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf government in the district, adding during the chief minister’s visit to the district new projects would also be announced.

He said work on a water supply scheme from Lawagher dam was in final stage, which would address water shortage in his constituency.

He asked the people not to be deceived on the slogans of nationalism and added that PTI leadership had foiled the attempts of religious parties to deceive the masses by exploiting their religious sentiments. He asked the people to join PTI for changing the obsolete system.

JUI-S-PTI ALLIANCE: Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Sami former MNA Maulana Shah Abdul Aziz Mujahid has said the Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl is perturbed over the former’s alliance with Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf, and claimed the JUI-F wanted to reach the power corridors by using other religious parties.

Talking to mediapersons on Monday, he said JUI-F provincial chief Maulana Gul Naseeb could not befool the people in the name of Islam anymore.

He added that they were well aware of the injustices meted out to the people of Karak during the tenure of the then chief minister Akram Khan Durrani. He said a cancer hospital approved for Karak was shifted to Bannu by the chief minister.

He categorically said the JUI-S would no more be used by the JUI-F to reach power corridors. He claimed that the JUI-F wanted the revival of MMA to pursue its own agenda.

The JUI-S leader claimed that JUI-F would be removed from the political scene in the next general elections due to its ‘double-standards’.
