QUEETA: A three-day anti-polio campaign will begin in several districts of Balochistan on Monday.

Announcing this, the coordinator of Emergency Operation Centre (EOC), Balochistan, Syed Faisal Ahmed, said that during the campaign, more than 1,775,614 children would be administered polio drops. He said security arrangements for the campaign had been made.

During the campaign, he said, around 6,761 teams would be in the field — 5,934 mobile teams, 480 camps and 364 transit points.

The districts where the campaign is being launched are: Quetta, Pishin, Qila Abdullah, Barkhan, Chagai, Jaffarabad, Qila Saifullah, Loralai, Duki, Musakhail, Naseerabad, Zhob, Sherani, Jhal Magsi, Khuzdar, Lasbela, Mastung, Noshki, Dera Bugti and Sohbatpur.

He said personnel of Frontier Corps, Balochistan Levies and police would be deployed to ensure security of the polio staff involved in the campaign.
