PESHAWAR, May 3: The agricultural sub-committee of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) has taken notice of absence of the director-general (Agriculture Research) from an important meeting, says an official press release. The sub-committee meeting was to be held at the conference room of the NWFP Assembly on Saturday with MPA Muzafar Said in the chair to scrutinize the draft rules of the NWFP Agriculture Research System (Handing Over) Act 1986.

However, it could not be held due to the failure of the director-general to turn up at the meeting.

MPA Said took notice of the absence of the DG and directed him and other officials concerned to ensure their presence in next meetings of the PAC sub-committee.—APP
