Mr Khattak said the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf had become the most popular party in the province as more and more were joining it over the excellent performance of its government in the province.

He said the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf had fulfilled most of its election promises by improving the people’s lives and reforming institutions.

District nazim Liaquat Khattak, MNA Imran Khattak, tehsil nazim Ahad Khattak and other Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf leaders were also present on the occasion.

Funds promised

Also in the day, the CM promised the provision of Rs5 billion funds for a project for the Kabal River’s remodeling, irrigation schemes’ execution, Indus remodeling, small dams’ construction and other irrigation department projects in Peshawar valley.

Mr Khattak said if the valley could be protected from such natural calamities by spending few billion rupees, a decision to that effect should be made instantly.

He ordered the release of required funds for the project and asked the irrigation department to ensure quality work.
