Karachi rout Hyderabad

KARACHI, Aug 26: Karachi Under-19 Tuesday beat Hyderabad Under-19 by an innings and 100 runs in inter-region Under-19 tournament 2003-04 at Quaid-i-Azam Park on Tuesday.

Hyderabad, resuming at 34 for two, required 163 to avoid innings defeat, lost seven wickets by adding just 63 runs. Skipper Ghulam Yasin did not bat.

Tabish Khan, who had grabbed five wickets in first innings returned with match figures of eight for 118 runs. Muhammad Ali Zafar took three for nin and had match tally seven for 50.

Hyderabad scored 180 in first innings and Karachi decalred innings at 377 for five.
