Indian shelling kills villager

MUZAFFARABAD, Jan 5: A man died and two others were injured in Indian shelling in the Poonch district of Azad Kashmir on Saturday, police said.

The Indian troops, they said, shelled the villages in Abbaspur sector at 10:30am on Saturday. As a result, Ghulab Khan, 70, died in Taroti village after splinters of a shell hit him. Another civilian, Said Mohammad, was injured in the same village, police said.

Earlier, a man identified as Mohammad Razim was injured in Sehr village, police said.
