DADU: Quality education is possible with the efforts of teachers and students in educational institutions and parents should help the teachers to facilitate true education to learners.

This was stated by Sindh University Dadu campus Pro Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Anwar Ali Shah G. Syed at a cultural festival organised at the varsity, which was inaugurated by him on Wednesday. It was a one-day festival which had cultural and historical themes of various cultures like Arabic, Persian, Turkish, Chinese, Egyptian and Sindhi.

The festival, which started early in the morning and continued till evening, had three sessions. The first session was presided over by Dr Anwar Ali Shah.

Besides intellectuals and writers, a large number of students, citizens, professors and citizens attended the festival. Students of other educational institutions also attended the event.

In the festival, students presented stories with cultural themes and history related with Sindhi heroes and stories including those of Dodo-Chanesar, Sohni-Mehar, Umar Marvi, Sassui-Punhoo, Lila-Chanesar, Noori-Jam Tamachi and Moomal-Rano. Tableaux were also presented by students on various themes and matters.

Focusing on the importance of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), many groups of students described that the project would be connected with the world and new opportunities would be provided to the youths and the people of the country in different fields to promote their business and their concerned fields.

The second session was presided over by renowned scholar Prof Dr Faiz Mohammad Shaikh.

Students also delivered speeches about reviving cultural values while highlighting the importance of culture. In the third session, presided over by Prof Farhan Shaikh, awards and shields were given away to students for their excellent performance in the festival.

Sindhi cultural games like Malakhro, Kodi Kodi, Wanjh Wati, Belharo, volleyball and others were also played in the festival.
