RAWALPINDI: Two bodies were recovered separately in the jurisdiction of the Airport police on Saturday.

The bodies have been shifted to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital for postmortems and identifications, said the police.

Local residents spotted the body of a 25-year-old woman dumped in a nullah flowing under a bridge in Rahimabad.

The police shifted the body to hospital with the help of Rescue 1122. The body of a 27-year-old man was found in an open place at Street Number 7 of Wakeel Colony.

When contacted, Station House Officer (SHO) Ahsan Kiyani said the police had started investigations after recovering the bodies.

He said no sign of torture was found on the body of the woman whereas the deceased man was stabbed by a blunt weapon in the head and abdomen.

Meanwhile, armed robbers riding a motorcycle snatched cash and a mobile phone from a citizen, identified as Tariq, at Habib Colony in Khayaban-i-Sir Syed and fled.

Two robbers also a motorcycle intercepted Khawaja Zahoor at Girja Road and snatched Rs45,000 from him and escaped. On the complaint of the robbery victims, the police have lodged cases and started investigations.
