PESHAWAR: The political administration has declared curfew in Razmak subdivision of North Waziristan Agency after the killing of three Frontier Corps personnel.

The local residents said the administration had also sealed the roads leading to the area. They said hundreds of the people from Razmak, including women and children, were stranded in Bannu due to the closure of the roads.

On Monday, unidentified gunmen had attacked an FC patrolling vehicle in Dosali area of Razmak killing three soldiers and injuring seven others.

After the attack, the local authorities imposed a curfew, while educational institutions and other offices were also closed.

The elders of local Utmanzai tribe said they weren’t allowed to enter and leave Razmak.

They appealed to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governor and Peshawar corps commander to immediately order the lifting of the curfew saying civilians were being bothered by the administration without reason.

The elders urged the corps commander to allow stranded women and children to return to their homes.
