KARACHI: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader Kulsoom Nawaz was “being prepared” on Tuesday to undergo her first chemotherapy session in London, according to her daughter Maryam Nawaz.

In a series of tweets from her official verified Twitter account (@MaryamNSharif), Maryam shared photographs of Kulsoom in the hospital with former prime minister Nawaz Sharif by her side.

“Ami being prepared for her first chemotherapy session. Thank you for your valuable prayers for her. Means a lot to us,” she wrote.

Maryam posted another picture of her parents with the caption “in sickness & in health... A solemn vow”.

Kulsoom was diagnosed with early stage lymphoma in August when she suddenly left for London for a checkup, where she underwent three surgeries as part of her treatment process.
