Cancelled ticket

I HAD a confirmed seat on an Islamabad-Karachi-bound Shaheen Air flight, booked a week in advance. On reaching the boarding counter over an hour earlier, I was told that my seat had been cancelled. The extremely uncooperative staff made me run from one counter to another for a good 50 minutes, only to blame the ‘system error’ for the mess-up at the end.

What’s worse that even after confessing to their fault, the totally indifferent airline staff did not arrange for me to board the flight and it took off right before my eyes leaving me.

The next Shaheen Air flight I could be accommodated on was not before 15 hours! How I managed to fly back on the same day is anybody’s guess but I was utterly disgusted at the airline that now flies to international destinations but is not capable of effectively handling even domestic passengers.
