HYDERABAD, Jan 5: The leaders of PPP, Hyderabad, have announced their full support to President Gen Pervez Musharraf in his policies regarding India and warned the latter that if it thrust a war on Pakistan, it will pay a great cost.

They said, under the present circumstances, PPP would support the government. They however demanded a safe return for Benazir Bhutto so that she could play her due role in the current scenario involving Afghanistan issue and volatile situation on borders with India.

They were speaking at the 74th birth anniversary of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto at the press club here on Saturday evening.

They said that the government was punishing PPP leaders, although it had failed to substantiate charges of corruption against them.

They said that under the new devolution system the elected representatives had not been informed about their powers.

The PPP (SB), Sindh also celebrated the birth anniversary of Z.A. Bhutto here.
