LAHORE, Aug 21: Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) on Thursday said it would not allow two individuals from Sindh and Balochistan, to cast votes at the elections as they are not nominated by their associations.

A PFF spokesman said Nasir Karim (Sindh) and Younus Changezi (Balochistan), nominated for the posts of vice-president by Faisal Saleh Hayat group, would not be allowed to cast their votes as they had been nominated by their respective provincial sports boards, not by the provincial associations.

The elections are scheduled to be held in Lahore on Aug 28.

Riaz Pirzada, an MNA from Bahawalpur, has announced to contest the elections for the post of PFF president.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Army has withdrawn its first nominee Maj Mohammad Ashfaq Butt and nominated Brig Arif Siddiqi. Similarly, Railways also withdrew the nomination of Irfan Gohar and has now nominated Lt-Col Khalid.
