ISLAMABAD: A number of lawmakers, including the chief ministers of three provinces, have failed to submit their statements of assets to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) by the deadline of Sept 30.

The ECP will suspend the membership of these lawmakers on Oct 15 and after that they will not be able to enter the Senate and the national and provincial assemblies. Even the chief ministers will not be able to hold their respective offices.

According to the details released by the commission, the chief ministers who have failed to submit their statements of assets are Shahbaz Sharif of Punjab, Pervez Khattak of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Sanaullah Zehri of Balochistan.

Prominent legislators who have not filed their statements of assets are Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Daniyal Aziz, Hamza Shahbaz, Sardar Muhammad Awais Leghari, Ghulam Rabbani Khar, Muhammad Ijazul Haq, Fahmida Mirza, Dr Farooq Sattar, Arif Alvi, Tehmina Daultana, Ayesha Gulalai Wazir, Kamil Ali Agha, Aitzaz Ahsan, Farooq Hamid Naek, Azam Swati, Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao, Shehryar Khan Afridi, Sardar Muhammad Yousuf, retired Captain Muhammad Safdar, Asad Umar, Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed, Tallal Chaudhry and Abid Sher Ali.

Those who have filed their statements of assets include Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah, Mian Raza Rabbani, Jehangir Khan Tareen, Faryal Talpur, Murad Saeed, Ahmed Ali, Syed Naveed Qamar, Maulana Muhammad Khan Sherani, Abdul Qadir Baloch, Shireen Mazari, Marriyum Aurangzeb, Farhatullah Babar, Mushahid Hussain Syed, Pervaiz Rashid, Raja Zafarul Haq, Ishaq Dar, Akram Khan Durrani, Ghulam Ahmad Bilour, Sirajul Haq, Rehman Malik, Sherry Rehman, Rehman Malik, Chaudhry Nisar, Imran Khan, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, Zahid Hamid, Ahsan Iqbal, Ayaz Sadiq, Fazlur Rehman, Khawaja Saad Rafique and Shah Mehmood Qureshi.
